No mystery, no black box. This is the actual route from inbound trailer to outbound stack, and it is why our reclaimed stock behaves like new stock on a racking system.
Unload & count
Every inbound trailer is counted on the ground, not on paperwork. Discrepancies get photographed before the driver leaves.
Sort by footprint
48×40 GMA splits off first, then the twenty-odd secondary sizes, then odd stock headed for dismantling.
Grade in daylight
Deck coverage, stringer integrity, moisture, stain and protruding fasteners. Graders work under natural light because artificial light hides rot.
Repair or dismantle
Roughly four in five cores get a board swapped and go back out. The rest are pulled apart for recoverable lumber.
Treat, stamp, stack
Export stock goes through the heat-treat chamber and gets the registered mark. Finished stock stacks in fifteens, banded and dated.
Grind the remainder
Broken hardwood becomes mulch and boiler fuel; nails are magnet-recovered and sold as scrap steel. Six percent of inbound mass leaves as anything else.
Why used beats new
A recycled pallet is not a compromise. It is the better engineering answer.
Wood that has already been dried, stressed and proven in service is more dimensionally stable than green lumber. Reuse skips the felling, the kiln, the mill and most of the freight. Nothing about that is a downgrade — it is simply the version of the product that has already done its hardest day.

Straight answers, no gatekeeping.
Do you buy used pallets, or only sell them?
Both, and the two sides feed each other. We buy sorted and unsorted cores in truckload and partial-load quantities across Ohio, pay per core against grade, and sell reclaimed and new pallets out of the same Columbus yard. Because the inbound stream is ours, reclaimed pricing does not carry a broker’s margin.

What does a used 48x40 pallet actually cost?
Reclaimed 48×40 GMA pallets typically land in the high single digits to low teens per unit. Three things move that number: grade (A costs more than B), volume (a full load of 480–560 beats a 40-pallet drop every time), and how far the truck runs.

Is pallet removal really free?
In most of Central Ohio, yes. If the pallets are standard sizes, stacked, forklift-accessible and recoverable, removal costs you nothing and we may pay per core. Long hauls, wet or contaminated wood, and small volumes of odd sizes can carry a service fee — we tell you which it is before the truck rolls, not after.

Can you heat treat for international shipping?
Yes. ISPM-15 heat treatment runs on site and the registered stamp goes on before the load leaves, so your export shipment clears phytosanitary inspection instead of sitting on a dock. New builds and qualifying reclaimed pallets both go through.

How far do you deliver?
Our trucks cover Columbus and Central Ohio daily, and run scheduled lanes to Cleveland, Cincinnati, Dayton, Toledo and Akron. Past the state line we arrange contract freight for truckload quantities.
